Reels reach people who do not follow you yet, but making them every week takes time. AI tools can do much of the slow work: ideas, scripts, captions and rough edits. Here is a workflow that turns one afternoon into a month of reels, while keeping your own face, voice and expertise in them.
Where AI helps, and where it does not
AI is good at turning your notes into hooks and scripts, suggesting variations, transcribing speech into captions and cutting silences. It cannot replace what makes your reels worth watching: your real work, your customers and your knowledge. Use it to save time, not to fake experience.
Step 1: Collect ideas from real questions
List ten questions customers ask you often. Each one is a reel. Ask an AI writing tool to suggest three different hooks for each question, then pick the ones that sound like you.
Step 2: Write short scripts
A reel script for a service business has three parts:
- Hook (first 3 seconds): a question, a surprising fact from your work or a bold promise you can keep
- Value (15 to 30 seconds): the answer, the steps or the before and after
- Action (last seconds): "Save this", "Message us on WhatsApp" or "Book your free audit"
Ask AI to shorten your answer to a 30-second script, then read it aloud and change any line you would not say yourself.
Step 3: Film in one session
- Film vertically (9:16) on your phone, in good daylight or soft light
- Use a small clip-on microphone if you speak to camera
- Record each reel in short parts; it is easier than one perfect take
- Film extra clips of your work, your shop and your hands at work to cut between
Step 4: Edit with auto-captions
Most editing apps can now generate captions automatically and remove pauses. Check the captions for spelling and brand names, keep cuts quick, and add your logo or a simple end screen.
Step 5: Cover, caption and schedule
Choose a clear cover frame with large text, write a caption that repeats the hook and the action, and schedule a month of reels in Meta Business Suite.
Rules that keep you safe
- Music: use licensed tracks from the app's own audio library or royalty-free music. Business accounts have a limited library, and copyrighted songs can get your reel muted or blocked, especially in ads.
- AI visuals: do not present AI-generated people, products or results as real. Meta asks you to label realistic AI-made content.
- Facts: check every claim AI writes; it can sound confident and still be wrong.
- Testimonials: never create fake reviews or customers; use real ones with permission.

Questions people ask
Can I use any song in my business reels?
No. Business accounts have a limited music library, and copyrighted songs can get reels muted or blocked. Use tracks from the app library or royalty-free music.
Should I tell people when a reel uses AI?
Label realistic AI-generated people, scenes or voices, as Meta asks. Using AI only for scripts, captions or editing does not need a label.
Which AI tools should I use for reels?
Any good AI writing assistant can help with hooks and scripts, and most video editing apps now include auto-captions and silence removal. Pick tools you will actually use every week.
